Lifespan :
The lifespan of the Cane Corso is 10 to 12 years while the lifespan of the Presa Canario is 9 to 11 years on average Cane Corso lives a bit longer as Presa Canario.
General Health :
Like Cane Corso the Presa Canario has some health conditions that can be a concern they include hip dysplasia, eye problems, demodectic mange etc both breeds are moderately healthy.
Affectionate With Family :
The Presa Canario is not typically a gentle family dog but she will be docile towards family members especially her master. Also Cane Corso is very respectful and affectionate with his family.
Intelligence :
Because they are intelligent Presa Canario dogs need to be given lots of things to occupy their minds and they need enough daily exercise for them to be truly happy well-rounded dogs. However in this case the Cane Corso is much smarter than the Presa Canario.
Kid-Friendly :
When they are properly raised trained and socialized both breeds can be loving toward and protective of children. It is important however the puppies and adult dogs not be given any opportunity to chase children. Both breeds are not a good choice for families with toddlers for younger children.
Friendly For Dogs And Pets :
Both freed may get along with other dog or pets, if they're raised with them but they will likely view strange animals as prey and do their best to kill them. Both breeds can be considered unfriendly towards dogs and pets.
Adapts Well To Apartment Living :
Both can take or so and Presa Canario are working dogs and will not do well in an apartment and if they are not exercised enough, they're relatively inactive indoors and will do best with at least one medium sized yard.
Good For Novice Owners :
Although Cane Corso was very intelligent he is not a good first dog he requires plenty of socialization training and exercise to be a good companion. Also Presa Canario is not recommended for novice owners they have a very high prey Drive.
Easy To Train :
The Cane Corso was more attentive to his owner and more responsive to training than other Mastiffs, though quite dominant and strong-willed he will respect an owner who is confident and consistent. While the Presa Canario can be stubborn and willful when it suits them they're more difficult to train.
Easy To Groom :
Cane Corso has a short stiff coat with a light under coat while the coat of the Presa Canario is short with no undercoating and slightly coarse to the touch, both breeds are very easy to grow.
Energy Level :
Like Cane Corso, Presa Canario are very energetic dogs if they are not used as working dogs they demand daily walks and playtime, if not exercised they're likely to become irritable or even aggressive.
Watchdog Ability :
The Presa Canario is a natural watchdog and they do not need to be taught to guard and protect because these are traits that are deeply embedded in the dog's psyche. Also Cane Corso is one of the best watch dogs in the world.
Tendency To Bark Or Howl :
Like the Cane Corso, the Presa are not known to be a barker but they are protective of their owners and property. which means they are always quick to let them know when something they don't like is going on or when there are strangers.
Tolerates Being Alone :
Cane Corso do best when a family member is at home during the day because they are not at all tolerant of being alone, while the Presa Canario is much more tolerant of being alone.
Tolerates Cold Weather :
Both breeds can adapt to cold weather since their coat will get thicker in the winter. However they are not heard for extreme cold weather.
Tolerates Hot Weather :
The Presa Canario tolerate heat better than many mastiff type breeds and he loved water and can be an excellent swimmer. However in this case both breeds are moderately tolerant to hot weather.
