The Small Munsterlander, known as the Kleine Munsterlander Vorstehhunde in Germany, originated in the Munster region of Northern Germany. The breed is very cooperative & intelligent. Their calm & cooperative demeanor in addition to their hunting ability is what first attracted us to this breed over 20 years ago.

 

Small Munsterlander Pointer Size:

Males stand 20.5 to 22 inches at the shoulder; females, 19.75 to 21.25 inches. Weight ranges from 40 to 60 pounds.

 

Small Munsterlander Pointer Personality:

Loyal and affectionate, he's generally easy to train and has great water-retrieving skills in both salt and freshwater. Like any sporting breed, he needs plenty of daily exercise. He does best in a home where he can use his hunting skills or turn his intelligence to a challenging dog sport or activity such as agility, flyball, or search and rescue work.
